Robbie grew up on a cattle ranch near Islay, a hamlet barely west of the Saskatchewan border. A lifelong Albertan, he’s lived in Turner Valley, Lloydminster, Kitscoty and Edmonton, where he is today. After studying English and creative writing at the University of Alberta he somehow wandered into journalism, publishing and copywriting.
His writing has appeared in Eighteen Bridges, Alberta Views, Avenue Edmonton and a slew of small Alberta magazines. He was formerly associate editor at Alberta Venture magazine under the late Ruth Kelly.
